I got around to uploading the results of my race onto nikeplus.com today and it is pretty "telling" how difficult Crittendon Hill is. Check out this pace screenshot.

Here are the mile splits:
1 - 8:05
2 - 8:08 (16:13)
3 - 9:14 (25:27)
4 - 7:54 (33:21)
5 - 7:59 (41:20)
6 - 7:02 (48:22)
.2 - :24 (48:48)
You'll see that mile 2-3 was at an average pace of 9:14 because of the hill. The hill wasn't a full mile (about .8), so I'd guess I was averaging more like a 10 minute mile up the hill. I am very happy with pulling out mile 5-6 at 7:02. That undoubtedly is the fastest mile that I have ever run that deep into a workout or race of that distance.
