After spending a few days down in DC on business without having time to run, I finally got the chance to tonight here in Boston. I took a route through the North End, financial district, across Boston Common, down Beacon St, down to the Charles River, and all the way down to the BU bridge before coming back up onto Beacon and running all the way back. The weather was good and I was feeling no ill effects from my race this past weekend. I finished the 5.11 mile run in 42:33 for an average pace of 8:19/mile.
I feel like I need to step up the mileage quite a bit if I'm going to try and finish this running season with a half or full marathon.
