First Hard Run in Over a Month

After little to no running outside of playing soccer in the past 5 weeks, I finally hit the streets tonight for a hard 2.5 mile run with my roommate Adam. For those of you who don't know Adam, he ran track at Bentley for 4 years, and garnered "All-American" honors in the 800 his Junior year when he ran a blistering 1:52 800. To put that into perspective, that is essentially running 2 back-2-bacl 51 second splits in consecutive 400s. My fastest single 400 time in 8 years of running was a 50.8

Living in the North End now, we chose a run that took us from our apartment, now North St, down Commercial, over the bridge to Charlestown, and a loop around the neighborhood before coming back. We were trucking at around a 7:15 mile pace, which brought us home in 18:40. It was certainly cold during the run, but a good workout. Temperature was 29 degrees during the run.
